I started Faded Fields out of my love of gardening and textiles, and with a beautiful intention to create items to wear and adorn your home that are connected to nature, seasons and cycles. Whether it's a piece that I have designed + sewn myself, or a vintage item that I have sourced and reworked — everything is mindfully made and naturally hand dyed.

I started growing and working with indigo in 2020, and slowly began to introduce other dye flowers into my gardens. From seed to pigment extraction, the process can take anywhere from a couple weeks to six months. Flower and indigo harvests begin in early summer and pigment extraction happens many times per season through a drying and/or fermenting process. The resulting pigments are then added into my vats ready to be dyed with. A true labour of love.

All of my pieces are small batch + slow made in my tiny home studio and 100% of the flowers and indigo that I work with have been organically grown and harvested from my home gardens in Niagara, Ontario.
